SOUTHGATE, Mich. (WJBK) -
When a group of big drinkers decided to stiff their waitress on a big bill, her boss decided to ask for help from his friends on Facebook.
Mallie's Sports Grill & Bar owner Steve Mallie says two women and a man racked up a $211.77 bill on Super Bowl Sunday and then took off without paying. "They timed it after the game where they went out there, decided to have a smoke and never came back," said Mallie.
What these dashers didn't realize was a group of friends at the next table had been taking pictures throughout the night, including several with them in the background.
Mallie says he didn't want to involve the police and decided to post the photos on his personal Facebook page, as well as the bar's fan page. He is offering a $50 reward for information leading to the culprits.
"I don't like thieves," said Mallie. "We want to see these people pay and take care of their bill and do the right thing."
