A new cosmetic technique claims to get rid of bags under eyes.
The procedure is called Eyerise. New York doctor Stephen Bracci trademarked the name.
He says the procedure does not involve cutting and takes less than 10 minutes.
First, Dr. Bracci marks the section he will target and numbs the area with anesthesia. Then, using a blunt point medical instrument called a cannula, he injects a dermal filler.
Minutes later, Dr. Bracci applies a second, thicker filler.
The cost of the procedure is $1,200 and Dr. Bracci says the results typically last between two and three years.
Some side effects include redness, swelling and minor bruising. Rare, but possible, risks include infection, eye trauma and allergic reactions.
