The hardware chain True Value is giving back by helping with a Habitat for Humanity event in northwest Atlanta.

True Value owners, employees and vendors helped with these habitat homes in the Verbena development on Gaslight Lane.

True Value also donated the supplies.

The volunteers did roofing, siding and interior framing on Thursday. It's part of the company's semi-annual community service project.

Each Habitat home takes about two months to complete.
