Dallas Mavs star Dirk Nowitzki is warning students about the dangers of texting and driving.
He is teaming up with Dallas-based AT&T to push the message across North Texas.
The company will visit ten schools to show kids the dangers of texting and driving - and those stops will include a chance to sit in a virtual simulator.
There will also be a contest in which the winner will get a chance to play Dirk one on one.
The students must come up with an inspiring message about avoiding texting and driving that must be 25 words or less.
"We all know that texting is now part of everyday life, but nothing is so important to risk lives," said Nowitzki. "It only takes a few seconds for that message to mean the difference between life and death. It can wait."
