Man swims to shore after driving car into lake

A man swam to shore after crashing his car into Lake Lewisville overnight.

Police in The Colony say even though the man made it safely to land, he still had to be taken to a hospital.

His condition was not immediately known.

Dive teams searched the water but no one else was inside the vehicle.

Tow trucks eventually pulled the car to shore.

Investigators are now trying to figure out how and why the driver and the car ended up in the lake.
