A local military man commissioned a Florida artist to help honor the late former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.
Gene Sweeney asked Greg Marra to make a bronze statue of Kyle, who was considered the most lethal sniper in American military history.
He and a friend were killed while at a gun range on Feb. 2. Eddie Routh, the accused gunman, is an Iraq war veteran who allegedly suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.
The clay statue was sent to North Texas for bronzing. Once it is finished, Kyle's widow will decide where to place it.
