Students at Highland Park High School were sent home early Tuesday because of a threatening note found on campus.
According to the district, the students were dismissed at 11 a.m. and parents were asked to pick up their children at the multipurpose facility across from Highlander Stadium.
Police from both University Park and Dallas investigated, but found nothing suspicious.
The threatening note was reportedly found in one of the boys' bathroom. The district would not talk about its contents, but said it was similar to three others that forced evacuations last month.
In those cases no legitimate threat was found, the district said.
The school does have surveillance cameras. Officers will review the video to see if there is a pattern to who went in that bathroom each time threatening notes were found.
School will open on Wednesday as scheduled.
