DALLAS -
There was no snow in West Texas this week, but the stormy weather left residents dealing with a different type of accumulation.
Josh Pitman snapped this photo of tumbleweeds piled up to the roof against his home in Midland, Texas.
He told KWES-TV of Odessa and Midland that he recently tore down a fence that would have protected the house from the rambling weeds.
"Most ridiculous thing I've ever seen," he said.
He expects to spend the rest of the week cleaning up.
Meteorologist Dan Henry said there were hurricane force winds in the area on Monday.
The photo is just a sign that the same storm system that brought blizzards in the Panhandle was a very strong one that impacted the entire state, he said.
