Pedestrian killed after hit twice on I-10

BUCKEYE, Ariz. -

A pedestrian was hit and killed after two vehicles hit him on the freeway near I-10 eastbound and Jackrabbit on Wednesday morning.

According to the Department of Public Safety, a man in his 30's was first hit by one vehicle and a second time by another vehicle.

The second vehicle stopped and the man was found on the shoulder of the freeway. He was declared dead. His identity hasn't been released.

DPS doesn't know why the man was on the freeway.

The eastbound ramp and third lane were closed for about an hour.
