Arlington police recently seized hundreds of copies of movies after busting an elaborate counterfeiting ring.
Officers from the Economic Crimes Unit said the movies seized are films being shown right now in theaters across the country.
The counterfeiting crime all began to unfold with the arrest warrant for Melbert Randles who is accused of identity theft.
As officers arrived to serve that warrant, police say they discovered a counterfeit DVD operation in plain view inside of the suspect's home in the 700 block of Cornfield Drive.
Police seized more than 600 DVD copies of movies, including Zero Dark Thirty and Django.
Officers also seized two multi-bay DVD burners and a computer.
