An alleged drunken driver hit a baby in a stroller at the Fort Worth Stockyards over the weekend.
Police said 59-year-old Gilbert Urias Pedroza hit the stroller as he made a left turn at the intersection of Ellis Avenue and NW 26th Street Sunday evening. A group of pedestrians was crossing the street.
"There were other people in front of his truck and they were a little older and able to jump out of the way. The girl pushing the stroller couldn't get the stroller out of the way quick enough," said Chip Collins, who was nearby when it happened.
The witnesses said it was terrifying to see the stroller flip and roll several times. But the 1-year-old boy only suffered minor injuries and is expected to recover.
Pedroza did stop after the accident. He was arrested and charged with DWI.
