Fmr. DPD officers arrested for perjury

Posted: Updated:
DALLAS -

Two men fired from the Dallas Police Department last week were arrested and charged with perjury.

Court documents obtained by FOX 4 show Jon Llewellyn and Randolph Dillon recovered $3,700 from a suspect's pocket, marijuana, a handgun and a "large amount of methamphetamine in a patio closet" at the Austin Bluff Apartments in 2011.

Witnesses at the seizure told detectives, instead, the drugs were found in the bushes outside the building. They also said the money came from a bedroom closet, not the suspect's pants.

The court documents also state that the suspect told Llewellyn and Dillon about a drug house on North Ravinia Drive in exchange for a dropped felony charge.

In court, the former DPD officers testified they'd never been to that house. However, their squad car GPS records show they'd been there five times, sometimes for more than three hours.

Llewellyn and Dillon face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
