Council members will meet Wednesday to discuss the possibility of adding more parks in downtown Dallas.
A plan that will double the amount of green space will be reviewed. A total of four parks are being proposed.
The largest one, called Carpenter Plaza, would be about nine acres. It would be located around the intersection of Pearl Street and Crockett Street.
Harwood Park would be about four acres and would be in the Farmer's Market area of the city.
Pacific Plaza would be near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Harwood Street. Plans for that park include underground parking.
The city is also looking at the possibility of putting a park along Young Street in front of the Omni Convention Center Hotel.
The new additions would cost the city between $80 and $100 million.
