A 70-year-old man known for watching over neighborhood children was jailed for allegedly molesting one of those children. And law enforcement officials are worried there may more victims.
The Wise County Sheriff's Office arrested Hollis "Butch" Belcher on Friday for indecency with a child by sexual conduct. They said he molested a 10-year-old girl at his home on Private Road in Rhome.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the girl's mother noticed marks on her neck and began asking questions. The girl claimed Belcher had kissed her on the neck and lips and that he had touched her private area through her clothing.
She also said that Belcher had gotten on top of her and put his privates on her while she slept in his bed, the affidavit said.
So far the case only involves one victim, but investigators fear there may be more because parents in Belcher's neighborhood often sent their children to his house for sleepovers and to play after school.

Belcher is now free on bond.
