A statue being created for murdered Navy SEAL Chris Kyle arrived in North Texas Thursday afternoon.
It was created as a gift for Kyle's widow by Gregory Marra, a Florida artist. It portrays him holding a rifle and a pistol.
Kyle and a friend were murdered at a gun range by a former Marine who they were trying to help. Eddie Routh's family members said he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.
The clay statue was flown to Waxahachie and then trucked to Arlington. It will be cast in bronze in a process that takes about three months.
Kyle's widow has not yet decided where it will be permanently placed.
