Paramedics took two people to the hospital after their car plowed into a DeSoto hotel.
It started when two vehicles crashed on I-35E in DeSoto.
One car then slammed into the Hampton Inn and Suites.
None of the hotel guests were hurt.
Two construction workers, in from California, saw what happened and tried to help.
"We saw dust and stuff on the left side of the highway and I seen sparks go across the side of the road and I saw the car airborne, jumping over the embankment, and as we got closer, we noticed some skid marks," said Hugh McGuygan.
"I got out of the car, and put the hazards on and I ran in and got the fire extinguisher because there was a fire and came out and put the fire out," said Gaylen Kusch.
The conditions of the crash victims was not immediately known.
Officers are looking into if the drivers involved in the initial crash had been drinking.
