Study: 9 companies rate poorly when it comes to customer service

ATLANTA -

We've all been there at one time or another. You buy a product that is defective, or you just aren't happy with it, and you have to deal with customer service.

247wallst.com reports that while there has been some improvement in customer satisfaction with retailers, a study by American Consumer Satisfaction Index shows traditional retailers received the most negative assessments, while internet retail got high marks.

The survey listed nine traditional retailers with the worst customer service. They were Walgreen, TJX Companies, The Gap, Supervalu, Sears, CVS Caremark, Safeway, Netflix, and Walmart.

One company, Safeway, has struggled to satisfy customers for years. The company has received a low rating in customer satisfaction every year for the past 10 years, according to 247wallst.com.
