A motorcycle crash killed an off-duty firefighter Monday evening in Fort Worth.
Investigators believe an SUV turned in front of 42-year-old Lylian "Randy" Berry on Sycamore School Road.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. A female passenger also suffered critical injuries.
The Fort Worth Fire Department said Berry was assigned to Fire Station 28 on Everman Parkway. He had been with the department since 2006 and was a member of the swift water/underwater rescue team.
Berry also served for four years in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by two teenage daughters.
