Man's body found in Carrollton drainage ditch

CARROLLTON, Texas -

Police are trying to identify a man whose body was found in a Carrollton drainage ditch.

Someone noticed the body Monday afternoon while passing by the ditch on the frontage road near Interstate 35.

Investigators now believe the man was hit by a 2006 Honda Civic with silver or gray metallic paint. The car likely has damage on the front right side.

The unidentified victim was described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s or early 30s. He was dressed in a brown leather jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans and boots and had long curly hair and a full beard.

He also had a woman's name tattooed on his upper back along with other tattoos.

Anyone with information about the victim or the vehicle involved is encouraged to call the Carrollton Police Department at 972-466-3307.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
