The father of a 6-month-old boy who died from a serious head injury will face charges.
Family members took the unresponsive baby to a local hospital Monday morning. He was then flown to Children's Medical Center in Dallas and police were called.
Balch Springs police said the family did cooperate with an investigation. Detectives searched the home and removed evidence.
They determined the boy's father, 30-year-old Gregory Guajardo, was responsible for his injuries.
He is now facing capital murder charges.
His bond was set at $250,000.
Child Protective Services said it does have a history with the family.
A relative told FOX 4 the baby and his two siblings were already in a relative's custody because of a CPS order. Guajardo was just visiting them at his mother's house.
