DALLAS -
Thousands of people packed the parade route for the annual Dallas
St. Patrick's Day Parade on Greenville Avenue.
There were more than a hundred floats that entertained adults
and kids while tossing out candy, coupons and a lot of beads.
Parade organizers wanted this year's event to be more family
friendly instead of just a green beer-chugging party.
With a lot of families at the parade, parents seemed
happy about the efforts made by parade officials to make the parade more
G-rated.
There also was a larger police presence to keep the partiers
from getting too rowdy.
