FORT WORTH -
A woman is dead after police say she was shot by the father of her child.
Officers were called out to an apartment complex in the 2200 block of East Berry Street. As they entered the gate they found a woman lying dead in the middle of the courtyard. Raheem Smith was lying not too far from her. He had a gunshot wound as well but he was still alive.
Smith Was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and is expected to survive. He will be charged with murder.
Officers say the two had a child together.
