CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -
The old Casa Grande outlets off Interstate-10 are getting a facelift.
The new owner, who purchased the mall back in 2011, wants to change the name and the mall's overall design.
The hopes it will now be a destination for home improvement shoppers, offering things like building materials and furniture. They're also adding some restaurants.
Some people are already missing the old stores.
"I came out here to the outlet mall cause I used to drive by here and it used to be like a lot of stores that I thought were interesting, so I figured take a little road trip out here, and when I got here it was disappointing to only see like 3 stores," says shopper Carlton Carey.
The stores that are still open will have the option to stay after the renovation.
