The latest FOX News poll indicates Americans want tougher gun laws.
85 percent of those surveyed want universal background checks. Majorities also favor mental health checks and restrictions on assault weapons, high-capacity magazines and ammunition.
There is a news report out Friday that says the shortage of ammunition is so severe some police departments are bartering among each other just to have bullets in their handguns.
