One injured in flash fire at Plano hospital

Posted: Updated:

One person is injured after a flash fire in a lab at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano.

A cleaning crew, reportedly, was mixing cleaning materials that caused a flash fire on Monday morning.

Initial reports have the person mixing the chemicals suffering minor injuries, including some burns to the hands and face.

The injured employee went to the hospital's emergency room for treatment.

Due to the haze in the area where the flash fire occurred, employees evacuated until Plano fire officials gave the all clear.
