SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -

Police in the valley are responding to two separate bank robberies Monday night.

According to Chandler Police spokesperson Seth Tyler, a black male entered a Bank of America near Alma School and Elliot about 4:30 p.m. Monday. He passed a note to the teller, got away with some money, and fled the bank on foot.

He is about 6' tall, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a white shirt.

Just a short time later on Monday, a BMO Harris Bank in Scottsdale, near Scottsdale Road and Westland, was robbed. Scottsdale Police Officer David Pubins says a male suspect entered the bank, demanded cash from the teller, and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as a white male, 5'9", in his mid-20s with a thin build. He was wearing a white jacket, skull cap or mask, and sunglasses.

It's not clear if anyone has been taken into custody as of yet.
