Colleyville Heritage HS counselor indicted for improper relationship with student

Posted: Updated:

A Denton County Grand Jury has indicted a former counselor at Colleyville Heritage High School on four counts of improper relationship between an educator and student.

Kerry Jones, of Trophy Club, was also elected in 2011 to the Northwest ISD school board and his three year term expires this year. He is still listed on the Northwest ISD website as a school board member.

Trophy Club police began investigating a complaint made last summer involving Jones and a male student who attended Colleyville Heritage.

Trophy Club police said the alleged offenses occurred between April 2010 and March 2011, when Jones was a high school counselor at Colleyville Heritage. Jones was placed on administrative leave last August by the Grapevine-Colleyville School District.

The investigation determined none of the incidents occurred on school property, according to police.
