AURORA, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A family from Aurora is caught up in a big family feud. But this one involves some laughs and potentially a lot of money. The Vander Meer Family from Aurora took on a family from Oklahoma on the popular television game show "Family Feud," which will air Friday night.

The Vander Meer Family, which called the "Family Feud" hotline to begin the process of competing on the show, includes Kelly, a teacher; sister Amy, a lawyer; brother-in-law Bob, an accountant; sister-in-law Lindsay, a teacher; and brother Jason, an accountant. In addition to meeting game show host Steve Harvey, the family got together to try to win up to $100,000, a new car and some serious bragging rights.

"We decided to try out for ‘Family Feud' because we love the show, and we thought it would be an awesome experience to do together," Kelly said. "If we win, we want to pay off our college loans and give some to our parents."

Find out tonight if the loans will be paid off when the show airs at 5 p.m. on WPWR.
