CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Go ahead, start clapping.

For the fourth year in a row, 100 percent of Urban Prep Academy's graduating class will be loading up the trunk and heading to college. That's 167 young black men headed to a four-year college.

85 percent of Urban Prep students come from low-income families and high crime neighborhoods. Many start Urban Prep at least two grade levels behind.

They're defying the odds in our city where less than 40 percent of black males even finish high school. The founder of Urban Prep says the key to success is creating a culture of letting the students know what is expected of them.

It's expected they will be going to college and seven of the young men are gates millennium scholar finalists.
