Posted: Updated:

One man is dead and another in jail following a one car wreck in south Fort Worth early Saturday morning.

Police Capt Michael Baldwin says police responded to a wreck on I-35W in far south Fort Worth early Saturday morning and found one man dead at the scene. Baldwin says the driver told police he was distracted by a puppy inside the vehicle, lost control and crashed. The passenger in the vehicle was killed when that vehicle tipped over as it skidded down the highway.

Baldwin says the driver has been booked into jail on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.

The driver's name and the name of the dead man have not yet been released.
