WOODRIDGE, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two youths taking a walk in a wooded area in west suburban Woodridge Saturday afternoon discovered some apparent skeletal remains, which will be analyzed by the DuPage County Coroner's office and police investigators.

About 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Woodridge police responded to a wooded area in the 7900 block of Lemont Road after two youths out for a walk found what appeared to be skeletal human remains, police said.

As of Sunday, the remains have not been identified as male or female, a release from police said. Also undetermined so far was the age of the remains and the cause of death.

Woodridge Police, in cooperation with the DuPage County Coroner, the DuPage County Sheriff's Office Forensic Unit, and the Felony Investigative Assistance Team (FIAT), recovered evidence in the wooded area, which was turned over to the DuPage County Coroner for further analysis.

The coroner's office will be analyzing the remains.
