Police in Monroe Township say a Williamstown man placed the body of a 40-year-old woman who died from a drug overdose into her car and drove her to a nearby town.
Police say Andrew McCloskey of Williamstown now faces a second degree illegal disposal of a body charge.
Police say their investigation started in January when a Berlin Township resident reported discovering the body of a woman in her car. The body was identified as that of a 40-year-old from Atco, New Jersey.
Over the course of their investigation, police say they learned the woman met McCloskey and went with him to his home around the time she died. A day later, after returning from work, police say McCloskey found the victim dead in his bathroom.
Police accuse McCloskey of moving the woman's body into the backseat of her car and then driving it to Berlin Township and leaving it there. Another person, police say, followed McCloskey and then drove him home.
After a one-two punch of snowstorms, we're left with bitter cold. Even with plenty of sunshine today, look for highs only around 30-degrees. West winds 5-10 mph with feels like temperatures in the teens. Bundle up and watch for icy patches on roads and sidewalks.
The cold stays with us for a few more days.
Then, we start tracking another potentially messy wnitry storm, set to arrive on Saturday.
