SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -

A 2-year-old girl was found face down in a swimming pool Tuesday at the Hyatt at Gainey Ranch resort in Scottsdale, located at Doubletree Ranch and Scottsdale Roads.

The family was visiting from Washington state with three 2-year-old girls -- triplets.

The child's father discovered one of the girls face down in the sandy beach pool area, blue and lethargic.

By the time firefighters arrived, the young girl had regained consciousness and was crying, but she was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

There were several people in the pool at the time the girl was found, but no lifeguard on duty.

"It only takes a few seconds, don't get the false impression that someone is going to watch your child because this is a great case that people don't. It only takes a few seconds," said Scottsdale Fire Capt. Dave Folio.

The latest on her condition is unknown.
