DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

A man was arrested Tuesday after leading Detroit police on a chase that ended when he crashed his car into the Central District police station at Woodward and Grand Boulevard.

The man already had a warrant out for his arrest. When police spotted him in northeast Detroit and tried to pull him over, he didn't stop and the chase began.

As the suspect neared the police station, he lost control of his vehicle and jumped the curb, hit a fire hydrant and plowed into the building.

"Well, that's Detroit for you. It's the Wild West," said onlooker Carlos Lovelady.

Police say the man was driving a stolen car. The suspect was arrested, and fortunately, no one was hurt.
