Lockdown ends at Tarrant County College SE campus

Tarrant County College southeast campus in Arlington was put on lockdown midday Tuesday for about an hour after reports of an armed suspect near campus.

Officials lifted the lockdown around 1 p.m. on Tuesday. The campus is closed for the rest of the day.

Scanner traffic indicated that Grand Prairie Police were looking for an armed burglary suspect who had a stolen .22 firearm and was reportedly wearing a black hoodie.

Officials believed the suspect was in a wooded area behind the campus.

TCC sent out an alert to students telling them a lockdown is in effect.
