NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

In the aftermath of the terror attack at the Boston Marathon on Monday, a relatively small running race in New York City this weekend will have stricter security rules, the New York Road Runners announced Friday.

NYRR is urging runners and spectators for the City Parks Foundation Run for the Parks, a 4-mile race on Sunday at 8 a.m., to not bring bags to the park. Runners who do bring bags to bag check will be asked to transfer their belongings to clear bags, which will be provided.

Race-day registration, T-shirt pickup, and baggage drop-off will be in Rumsey Playfield, which will be cordoned off in a security zone. Anyone entering the zone will have to go through a screening.

"NYRR and the NYPD reserve the right to search any bag at any time, both within and outside the baggage area," according to the NYRR website.

Also, crews will remove trash cans in vicinity of the race course, NYRR said.

Every year, NYRR puts on dozens of running races including the New York City Marathon.

Ways to improve the relationship between the NYPD and communities in New York City will be at the center of a summit held at City Hall on Thursday. Mayor Bill de Blasio, Police Commissioner Bill Bratton, Rev. Al Sharpton, city officials and community leaders are expected to attend the round table. Accusations of police brutality and the death of a man under arrest for selling un-taxed cigarettes on Staten Island lead Mayor De Blasio to host the forum.

The saying art is autobiographical takes on a whole new meaning when your canvas is a fully nude human body, as it is for artist Andy Golub. Andy along with 30 other artists and 45 Technicolor models paraded around several Manhattan hotspots over the weekend for NYC Body Painting day. Believe or not, this is completely legal in New York City.
