The Texas Rangers and their fans are doing their part to help the people of West.
Before Friday's game at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, fans filled donation bins and opened their wallets. They gave everything from gift cards to bags of diapers.
The Rangers set up signs and boxes where fans could donate at each gate. A young fan felt compelled to help those affected by Wednesday's fertilizer plant explosion.
"For all the houses that were destroyed," Jackson Head, 11, said, "to help people get more supplies and stuff."
At the Home Plate gate, players' wives helped collect donations. The situation was especially hard for Mitch Moreland's wife to hear.
"You know I was actually putting the baby down and it really made me want to hold him and be closer with him," Susannah Moreland said.
Team officials will also collect goods at the Saturday and Sunday games.
