Man gets life in prison for starving son to death

Posted: Updated:

A man accused for starving his son to death has been found guilty by a Dallas County jury and will spend life in prison.

The verdict and decision on punishment both happened Tuesday afternoon.

Aaron Ramsey, 35, was accused of starving his 10-year-old son Jonathan to death.

Jonathan's remains were found in an Ellis County creek last spring. Authorities positively ID'd the remains in May 2012, but investigators believe Jonathan died in Summer 2011.

Elizabeth Ramsey, Jonathan's mother, also faces charges.
