A woman says she was sexually assaulted multiple times by a technician while undergoing a sleep study at her doctor's office.
FOX4 does not usually name sex assault victims, but Gina Gola wanted her story told.
A doctor told her she might have narcolepsy, which brought Gola to an Arlington doctor's office last year.
After she arrived for her appointment, she took her mediations like Ambien and muscle relaxers, which quickly put her to sleep.
But what happened next horrified her.
Gola said a technician came into the room and claimed to be adjusting the sensors – but she woke up with his hands inside her bra. He came into the room at least four times, Gola said.
repeatedly assaulted her.
Arlington police arrested Christopher Thompson on April 26 and faces sexual assault charges.
The arrest affidavit says the DNA recovered from Gola's exam matched a sample provided by Thompson.
Thompson told police he worked at several other sleep centers. Arlington police say if there are other victims out there, they want them to come forward.
