The National Weather Service has confirmed that two tornadoes struck Georgia during storms on Sunday.
Forecasters had previously determined that an EF-0 tornado touched down near Moreland in Coweta County, downing trees and damaging a house and a boat during about a minute of destruction.
The weather service now says a second tornado from the same storm system touched down northeast of the Henry County town of McDonough on Sunday. Forecasters say that twister, also rated an EF-0, traveled just over a mile and struck the Sleepy Hollow subdivision, where it damaged the siding of five houses and toppled a half-dozen trees.
No serious injuries or deaths were reported in the storms.
