The long-closed observation deck in Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas will re-open Saturday.
An interactive digital display called "the Halo" will help people find landmarks and new high-powered telescopes will be installed. Visitors can also control High-Definition cameras around the tower to get a better look of the city and surrounding areas.
A new restaurant will open above the observation deck and serve café-style lunches. The tower is also home to celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck's "560" restaurant.
The tower's owners hope to make it a top tourist destination in the area.
A fireworks show on Friday night is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. around Reunion Tower with music simulcast on 96.3 KSCS-FM.
