Search continues for missing Georgia college student

Authorities in middle Georgia say there are no obvious signs of foul play in the disappearance of an Atlanta college student.

It's been two weeks since anyone has seen or heard from Jmaal Keyes, a fun-loving 19-year-old who graduated from Hiram High School last spring.

Keyes' sister, Jalisa, said that everything seemed normal when she dropped him off at Middle Georgia State College on April 21 to finish up his freshman year.

"I'm sure if he didn't want to go back and something was really bothering him there, he would have said something to us to lead us to some kind of understanding that something was going on, but he didn't say anything," Jalisa Keyes said.

Ricky Mims attends Destiny World Church in Austell, where Jmaal and his family have been members for a decade.

"This is not like him. We've said this and once again, I can't see him just walking away himself and not telling someone where he's going," said Mims.

Mims says this ordeal feels like he's missing a member of his own family. That's why he organized the campus wide canvass of the college, located about two hours south of Atlanta, on Tuesday. Loved ones and church volunteers passed out hundreds of fliers, hoping to turn up even a small clue to the freshman's whereabouts.

Mims says they'll do it again and again until they see Jmaal face to face.

"This is not something you practice for, something you can rehearse for. We're a close-knit family in this church," Mims said.
Destiny World Church in Austell has offered a $3,000 reward for information that leads to the return of Jmaal Keyes.
