No bigger sizes at Abercrombie and Fitch?

Posted: Updated:

At the flagship Abercrombie & Fitch store on Fifth Avenue, you'll find bare-chested models and club music while you shop but you won't find clothing for large women.

The retailer won't make clothes for larger people, according to Business Insider, citing a 2006 Salon interview with CEO Mike Jeffries who said "We want to market to cool good looking people." Apparently he didn't think larger ladies make the cut.

News the international retailer doesn't list XL or XXL on its size chart at any of its 300 U.S. locations drew mixed reaction from customers we spoke to.

Public relations executive Ronn Torossian doesn't think it's a good idea because it is alienating 60 percent of American women.

Abercrombie & Fitch did not return our calls.
