Deputies tase suspect after alleged attempted burglary

Deputies say they tased a burglary suspect after he refused to obey their orders on Thursday morning.

26-year-old Brandon Gerald Fleminks allegedly tried to commit a burglary at a home in the 4300 block of South Ranch Vista Lane.

When Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrived, they say Fleminks was hiding in a shed on the property.

Fleminks allegedly started running away from the shed while ignoring deputies' orders.

Deputies say they were forced to use a taser to get him into custody.

The 44-year-old man who lives at the home told deputies a Hispanic man broke into his home by breaking the garage door and that he'd also damaged the front door.

According to deputies, a neighbor reported hearing a loud banging noise and saw a Hispanic man near the garage door of a different neighbor.

Fleminks was taken to a medical center for treatment and was later booked into jail on felony burglary charges.
