Road rage possible motive in Fort Worth homicide

Posted: Updated:

Fort Worth police homicide detectives are still trying to unravel the events that lead to a murder late Friday night.

Police spokesman Daniel Segura says officers were called to the intersection of East Maddox and Milano just before midnight and found as man lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. That man was taken to JPS Hospital where he died from his wound.

Segura says the initial investigation indicates the man who was killed was driving on East Maddox when a second vehicle pulled alongside. The police spokesman says both vehicles slowed and then sped up trying to merge into one lane. Both the vehicles stopped at the intersection of East Maddox and Milano. Segura says that's when shots were fired.

The name of the dead man has not yet been released.
