The family of the man killed in a crash on Interstate 20 in Rockdale County on Friday morning has set up a fund to help with funeral expenses.
A spokesperson for the Georgia State Patrol says Edi Rodriguez, 19, and 7-month-old boy lost their lives after being involved in an accident in the westbound lanes on Interstate 20 near Salem Road just around midnight Friday.
They say the car driven by Kyrie Alassen Anderson, 22, of Madison, Ga. lost control and hit a guardrail before moving back into traffic and finally colliding with a pickup.
The two men in the pickup were also injured in the accident and were transported to the hospital.
The family of Edi Rodriguez tells FOX 5 News that the funeral home is taking donations to help off-set funeral expenses. Anyone wishing to donate may contact the J.C. Harwell & Sons Funeral Home located at 2157 East St. SE, Covington, Ga. 30014 or by calling them at 770-786-2524.
