It's a welcome sight for ASU students. The university is now the second school in the country to have a Walmart on campus.
"It's crazy I'm walking around like this is so cool," says Danielle Borsje.
"There's a Walmart down the road too, it's just a pain to get in your car when its 110 degrees out. It's just a lot better," says Stephen Chen.
Walmart on Campus making its debut in Tempe, the second in the country to Arkansas in Fayetteville.
"The Walmart on campus is a test format and one thing we are testing is how does a student shopper shop, what are they looking for," says Delia Garcia, Director of Communications for Walmart
On the shelves you'll find smaller packaging and food easily consumed or cooked.
"We know that their dorm rooms are limited in size and budgets are limited in size in many cases," says Garcia.
"A lot of this stuff here too, NutraGrain bars, protein bars, they have frozen food too so late at night it's convenient," says Chen.
They have you covered. They have accessories for your phone, movies and everything for your home computer. They've let Sparky in the door too.
"I'm surprised they have that here too, good for game day."
A big draw for students is the pharmacy -- but unlike other Walmarts -- this one does not sell alcohol.
Walmart is also testing an urban store called Walmart Express for the city core like downtown Phoenix. That is being tested in North Carolina.
