Clayton County police are looking for a man they say sexually assaulted a 16-year-old.
Police say a man lured the teenager to his car and then raped the 16-year-old at the Highland Vista Apartment complex on Tuesday night.
"All I am able to say is that it was a 16-year-old who was approached by an unknown black male who him asked him from a vehicle asked him random types of questions to get him in conversation…a sexual assault took place," said Clayton County Officer Danielle Rosa.
Police spent the day talking to the victim's mother and other residents to get more information about the sexual predator.
Residents told FOX 5 that the man had a weapon; police say they are still trying to determine that.
"With it being an ongoing investigation we want to make sure that we get the facts straight and solid, so when we come to the public to release the information we have information that they are going to receive," Rosa said.
Parents said they are keeping a close eye on their children since no arrest has been made.
Police tell me they are working on the description of both the suspect and the car that he was in. They are asking anybody who saw anything unusual to give them a call.
