Disagreement over bathroom tip leads to assault

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A Long Island woman is under arrest for allegedly assaulting a woman during an argument over whether to tip a restroom attendant at a nightclub.

Nassau County police say that it happened early Sunday morning at the Rumors Nightclub on Hempstead Turnpike.

Police say that Kashire Dawson, 24, and the victim were in the woman's room.  A verbal confrontation occurred over tipping the attendant.  Club security kicked both women out of the club.

Dawson then went to her car and grabbed a camera tripod, according to police.  She then struck the victim in the arm with the tripod.

The 26-year-old victim told police that Dawson used the tripod "like a baseball bat."

She was treated at a hospital for pain and a cut on her right hand.

Dawson was charged with assault and possession of a dangerous weapon and was arraigned on Sunday.
