Many job experts say people who take their pets to work have a more joyful work experience. Just take a look at Jewels and Real Estate Gallery.
At Jewels and Real Estate Gallery, Whiskers and Willow could be the most important individuals in this building.
"They began to run the store, after 6 months they knew more than we did. They come in at 9 and go home at 6 so they put in a full day," says Darrell Olson, owner.
And they earn their keep, that's for sure. Darrell Olson says they just look at you and you melt.
The pups bring so much joy to his customers at jewels and estate gallery, along the camelback corridor.
For more than a decade, Whiskers and Willow have been following Olson and his wife to work, and the results have proven positive.
"They bring us all up they really do. The dogs require a lot of love and they give a lot of love and it's great for people all around the store."
According to valley job experts, Darrell is on to something. They discovered pets help bring a sense of ease and relaxation to the work environment -- something we may not see enough of -- and lift morale. Plus, customers really like them.
"We have people now who are bringing them gifts, some lady brought them a cushion to lay on."
They also help break the ice, and make waiting for help a bit easier.
The study was conducted by valley job expert Michael Hayes. He adds, bringing pets may not be a good fit for every workplace.
